Charlestown Harbour
Our nearest harbour to East Crinnis is the beautiful Georgian harbour Charlestown and is only a 50min walk over the south west coastal footpath or approx under 10mins to drive. With an inner harbour home to older tallships, with a number of seasonal pop ups and also esablished restaurants, bars and shops, its a must visit. The harbour has been made famous for being used as a film set in many movies and series including Poldark.
Fowey harbour
Approx a 15min drive from East Crinnis you'll arrive in the vibrant town of Fowey. A beautiful estuary and harbour with a big maritime feel. Lots of shop and restaurants to explore along with boat tours or hire. Lunch at the Red Rocket with its safe tidal pool for kids is highly recommended.
Take the foot ferry over to Polruan on the opposite side, or walk the beautiful, Hall walk taking you across the water and around the creeks, viewing the scenery that inspired Kenneth Grahame to write the Wind in the Willows.
Mevagissey Harbour
Approx a 20min drive from East Crinnis, Mevagissey is fine example of a working Cornish fishing village with a wonderful mix of shops, pubs and restaurants. The harbour area is beautiful and a must is coffee at the loft hatch at the harbour entrance watching the boats go by.
Here you can catch the sea ferry going from Fowey to Mevagissey for an amazing coastal experience.
Further away St Ives, Padstow, Porthleven or Looe are harbours all worth visiting. The harbour of Newquay and surf culture of the town is only approx 30mins drive from East Crinnis.
